Times & Tours

2024 Summer Season Opening

The house and gardens will be open Monday to Thursday from 3rd June to 25th July.

Gates open Midday to 5pm.

House guided tours at 12.30pm and 2.15pm
(Maximum 25 people per tour, please pre-book online to avoid disappointment)

For information:

When we are open to the public guided tours last approx.  1 hour. The tour visits several rooms on the ground floor and first floor, concluding in the library wing with easy access onto the lawn & Orangery tea room.

Due to the delicate nature of many of the objects within the house,  we operate a checked bag system for rucksacks, etc. These have on previous occasions inadvertently knocked over items causing damage & breakages. Please do not bring large bags to the house tour unless you are happy for these to be stored  whilst you enjoy the guided tour.

Wheelchair access to the house is available;  regretfully however,  we cannot accommodate mobility scooters inside the house. Due to the  listed & historic nature of Ugbrooke House there is no lift, access to the first floor is via the main staircase or via an alternative exterior route.

General photography is not permitted inside the House for a tour although we have various vantage points within the park that feature the House exterior.

Drones are not permitted on the Estate at any time.

The Orangery

For visitors to the  House & Park our  Orangery Tearoom opens at midday, we  offer refreshments, light lunches and sweet treats. Treat yourself to a traditional Devon Cream Tea or try one of the other delicious  offerings from a selection of cakes & freshly made sandwiches.

During our summer season the Orangery is open from midday to 4.15pm.

Dogs

Our Labradors love sharing their garden with other well-behaved dogs, however dogs are not admitted into the House on tours (except guide dogs) .

Please ensure dogs are kept on a lead at all times in the grounds and we ask you to clean up after your dog for the convenience of other visitors. Please place bagged waste in any of the bins within the park.
