CANCELLED for 2020 , however Private guided tours can be arranged for dates from April 2021 by contacting the estate office on 01626 852179 or firstname.lastname@example.org. For groups, we request a minimum of 20, however please contact us to discuss even if your group is not likely to number 20, we are keen to accommodate visitors. A private tour allows you to really delve into the history and stories of the family and the house. Private tour options include refreshments, from a simple tea & biscuits, a cream tea, light lunch or full buffet with matched wine, depending on your chosen package.
Should you be a smaller group but have a particular interest in one aspect of the house or its history , please don’t hesitate to contact us to see if we can arrange an exclusive option to accommodate your needs.
We are CLOSED for 2020 however Ugbrooke House is usually open on specific dates during the summer to day visitors, our gates open at 12 noon,Last entry is at 4.pm; Park gates close 5.30pm. There are two guided tours of the house interior each day, our tour runs for approx an hour and 15 minutes. Spaces on tours are limited, we recommend calling the estate office to reserve spaces before making a special journey, the estate office is open Monday – Friday 9 am, – 4 pm, our contact details are set out at the foot of this web page.
Wheelchair access is available, however we regretfully cannot accommodate mobility scooters inside the house. Photography is not permitted inside the House although we have various vantage points within the park that feature the House exterior and its superb setting. Drones are not permitted on the Estate at any time.
The Orangery Tearoom (CLOSED FOR 2020) is open on our summer visitor days for light refreshments and sweet treats. Choose from a traditional Devon cream tea, a homemade quiche or any of the other delicious homemade offerings available. Please see our menu as a guide, however bear in mind as items are homemade, not all items will be available everyday.
Our Labradors Tilly & Peggy enjoy sharing their garden with other well behaved dogs, but sadly visiting dogs are not admitted into the House on tours (except guide dogs) – not even ours are allowed upstairs! Please ensure any furry friends are kept on a lead at all times in the grounds, we respectfully request you clean up after your dog for the convenience of other visitors.

We had such a wonderful day at Ugbrooke last weekend that I felt compelled to write and thank you. The gardens are immaculate and we found ourselves losing hours soaking up the beautiful flowers and grounds.
