Tiina tackles 4 islands in 4 days

4 friends, 4 charities, 4 walks on 4 islands over 4 days.

This weekend, our resident chef Tiina will not be tying up her apron, but instead, lacing up her trainers. She is tackling a four day charity walk across four islands off the west coast of Scotland, on and around her home of Mull.

Together with three friends, each raising money for their own Blind Veteranschosen charity, the foursome are planning to do a series of walks over four consecutive days on four different islands, with errr… 5… dogs leading the crusade.

Day 1 is an idyllic 10 mile walk on the the island of Iona, followed
by 11.25 miles on Day 2 aiming for Burg on Tiina’s home island of Mull. Day 3 sees the group walking 12 miles across the rugged island of Ulva, following the route to Gometra – an island, off an island, off an island! Finally, Day 4 will be their longest walking day covering 12.75 miles on the isle of Kerrera – phew!!

Tiina is raising money for the House’s chosen charity, Blind Veterans UK which supports blind veterans to adjust to sight loss, overcome the challenges of blindness and lead as independent a life as possible. Donations are welcome via her Just Giving page, and we think it is a much easier way to show our support than tackling the gale force winds whipping acrossย the isles this weekend!

Well done Tiina – we canโ€™t wait to follow your progress and hear stories from your adventures.
